Gemma holds a Masters in Business from Melbourne University, a Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard, and has completed the AICD Board Directors Course. Currently, she is advancing her expertise by studying Psychology and Neuroscience, with the goal of integrating these insights into her business and negotiation strategies with clients.

Gemma’s Experience

Gemma O’Neill is a dynamic and personable leader with 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. Starting her career as an executive producer in Breakfast radio, Gemma’s journey spans various high-profile roles, including as Content Director for music channels in Australia, Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff for Nicole Kidman, Creative Executive and Producer for Kidman’s Blossom Films, and content manager for the Kyle and Jackie O show.

She went on to lead as Chief Content Officer for NZME in New Zealand, followed by a transformative tenure as Head of the Hit Network at SCA. In 2022 Gemma launched the Gemmie Agency, leveraging her negotiation expertise to represent some of Australia’s most celebrated entertainers. In 2023 Gemma co founded Besties, a women’s content and lifestyle business with her best friend, Jackie O.

Now focused on consulting, Gemma is passionate about empowering individuals and businesses to achieve their full potential. Known for her warmth and visionary leadership, she excels in strategy, transformation and negotiation, aiming to inspire success for clients personally and professionally.

Gemma lives in Sydney and is a mum to her 2 beautiful boys. She is a board director for Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, a committee member for the Soho House and a Sydney Swans supporter!
